Thank you for your comments and this Flojet model does have an automatic pressure switch and it works great so far.
Not sure about the Northstar unit, but, the Flowjet pump should have either a by~pass or a pressure sensor (shuts down at 35psi) so you can use a spray nozzle. If it lacks one or the other ( and some do) the pump will destroy itself if the outflow is closed. I have just modified a 32v Flowjet to run on an AC motor and wired the pressure switch to stop the motor when the spray nozzle is closed. BTW, the Flowjet can run~dry all day without any harm. Great little pump for my veggy garden
Hey, a quick question for you…. I am installing a rainwater collection system and want a 12v pump setup for running a sprinkler. Do you have any idea if it is alright for that pump to run continuously if the water output is turned off? Such as if we use a garden sprayer to water hanging baskets? Thanks!
